Multi-Sport Foundation at Athletes Acceleration Carmel

Young athletes ages 8–12 across Hamilton County—Carmel, Zionsville, Fishers, Westfield—build their athletic foundation at our facility. Through speed and agility training, age-appropriate strength development, and multi-directional speed work, we develop the movement skills and coordination that transfer to every sport in this highly competitive athletic community.

Between ages 8 and 12, young athletes are in the most critical window of physical development they’ll ever experience. This is when the nervous system is most adaptable, when coordination and movement patterns are being hardwired, and when the foundation for every future athletic skill is being laid. Most kids this age are playing organized sports—but almost none are being taught how to move.

Our Multi-Sport Foundation program fills that gap. We don’t specialize these athletes in one sport. Instead, we build the universal athletic qualities that transfer to every sport they’ll ever play: running mechanics, jumping and landing technique, coordination, balance, spatial awareness, and strength. These are the building blocks that separate the kid who “looks athletic” from the one who actually is.

Every session is structured. We perform speed and power training, age-appropriate strength training, and skill challenges that keep kids engaged while systematically developing movement competency. Your child won’t realize they’re learning biomechanics—they’ll just know they’re having fun and getting better at everything they try.

Our Approach

Sessions follow a movement-first philosophy. We begin with dynamic warm-ups that teach body awareness, progress through skill stations targeting specific athletic qualities (speed, agility, coordination, strength). Our multi-directional speed training utilizes competitive games that apply skills under pressure. No two sessions are identical. Progressions are earned, not given.

Coordination & Agility

Reactive agility training that develops the hand-eye and foot coordination that separates good athletes from great ones.

04

Strength

Age appropriate strength training that builds functional strength and prioritizes the safety of our young athletes.

FAQ

Not at all—age 8 is the ideal time to start. At this age, the nervous system is at peak adaptability for learning movement skills. Our program is designed specifically for this developmental stage: we prioritize movement training while ensuring our athletes develop strength, speed, and power through safely progressed protocols. Research consistently shows that early exposure to diverse movement patterns produces better athletes long-term.

Playing multiple sports is great, but sport practice focuses on sport skills—not athletic development. Most youth coaches don’t have time to teach running mechanics, landing technique, or movement fundamentals. Our program fills that gap. Think of it as the athletic education that makes your child better at every sport they play, while reducing their injury risk across all of them.

No. Our philosophy at this age is “development over intensity.” We never push young athletes to exhaustion or treat them like miniature adults. Sessions are high-energy and fun, with built-in progressions that match each child’s readiness. Our CSCS-certified coaches are trained in age-appropriate programming and know the difference between productive challenge and harmful overload.

Camps are short-term, high-volume, and rarely individualized. Our program is a structured, progressive training system that builds on itself week after week. We track each athlete’s development, adjust progressions based on competency, and create a consistent training environment where real improvement happens—not just a fun weekend.

Athletic shoes (running or cross-training), comfortable athletic clothing, and a water bottle. No cleats needed. We provide all training equipment.
